The project is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the TerrainHopper and Quadrix all-terrain buggies that are suitable for disabled people with long term health condition or restricted mobility to access off-road terrains. We also have joystick options of both the Quadrix & Terrainhoppers, which may prove more suitable for anyone with reduced hand/arm function.
Group Size: 4 people plus the guide (if all using the buggies, however there will be an opportunity to increase the group size if some of the party wish to walk alongside the buggies or use a mountain bike which are available for hire)
Where: Gosford Forest Park (6 miles from the City of Armagh) Enter into the Forest Park off the Gosford Rd, drive past the main car park site, go straight at 1st mini roundabout, then take a Right at the 2nd mini roundabout, as you travel down the hill, you should see the ‘All Out Trekking’ sign on your Left hand side, take a Left down the fenced lane way into the Car Park at the All Out Trekking project store.
Restrictions: Lower age limit is 12 years of age, (there are also height and weight restrictions that will be discussed when enquiring with the Disability Sport NI office)
What does a session consist of?: Arrival at AOT, Welcome by AOT Guide, Complete documentation, Introduction to buggies (either TerrainHopper for Walking Trails or Quadrix for MTB Trails), Equipment familiarisation, Clothing check (safety helmets, glasses & gloves supplied), Courtyard session, Field Skill Drills, Trails (if competency levels are suitable), return to AOT store.
